Small by design. 40+ engineers, 14 nationalities, one Krakow office. Every person has a direct line to the clients and to the CEO. No layers, no departments.

What makes Inuits different from outsourcing companies?

Our engineers don't execute tasks. They own architecture, make design decisions, and ship production systems. That is the difference between outsourcing and partnership.

Direct communication

If we can't fill a role, we tell you immediately. If an engineer isn't working out, we address it the same week. No stringing along, no quarterly reviews.

Quality over quantity

3 candidates we believe in, not 30 CVs scraped from LinkedIn. Curated network, not mass production.

Long-term relationships

Average client engagement: 18+ months. That happens because we treat every placement as a commitment, not a transaction. When you hire through Inuits, you get people who care whether the thing works.

How did Inuits TaaS grow to 40+ engineers?

Inuits Talent-as-a-Service is the Polish branch of Inuits, a Belgian technology company founded in 2007 by Kris Kerremans. The parent company, headquartered near Antwerp, has grown to 150+ professionals across offices in Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic and Ukraine. Inuits delivers applications, cloud and operations, and data and AI solutions to clients in logistics, government, broadcasting, academia, sports and space engineering, all built on open source.

Inuits has deep roots in the DevOps movement. Inuits early-adopter Kris Buytaert was one of the instigators of DevOps alongside Patrick Debois. Together they organised the first DevOpsDays in Ghent in 2009, a conference that has since grown to 250+ events worldwide. That engineering-first DNA runs through everything we do.

Inuits TaaS was started in 2019 by Jeroen Fossaert with a straightforward thesis: Polish engineers are among the best in Europe, and most US and Western European companies have no idea how to find them. Having spent years building tech teams across Belgium and Poland, he saw the gap between the quality of talent available in Krakow and the difficulty international companies had accessing it.

We started with a simple model: find great engineers, introduce them to great companies, and stay out of the way. That model hasn't changed. We've grown the team and expanded from staff augmentation into nearshoring and recruitment, with a gigs service coming soon. The principle remains the same. Hire well, step back, let people do good work.

Krakow arches

Why Poland. Why Krakow.

Poland ranks 11th globally in the 2022 PISA assessment, scoring 489 in mathematics, 489 in reading, and 499 in science, all above OECD averages. Universities graduate over 292,000 students per year, with 1.24 million currently enrolled. That academic foundation feeds directly into engineering talent: Polish developers rank third globally on HackerRank (first in Java) and second on TopCoder.

Poland's IT workforce exceeds 500,000 professionals, the largest tech talent pool in Central and Eastern Europe. Krakow alone accounts for 43,600 IT specialists across 335 companies. The city hosts R&D teams for Cisco, Motorola Solutions, Aptiv, and HSBC, each with 1,700 to 2,500 IT staff locally. Across Poland, over 400 R&D centers serve companies including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, and Cisco. 40% of Krakow's largest tech employers are US-headquartered.

Senior engineers here cost 30–40% less than equivalent Western European and US hires, without a quality trade-off. Poland ranks 15th globally on the EF English Proficiency Index. Your teams work Central European Time: one hour from London, six from New York, full working-day overlap with Western Europe, and enough shared hours with the US East Coast for standups and pair programming. Poland's business services sector already employs 488,700 people across 2,081 centers run by 1,258 investors from 50 countries. This is a mature nearshoring market, not an experiment.
